February 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Well with all the doom and gloom surrounding the red camp in the format war, it was going to happen, a matter of when not if, but Toshiba has officially gone and dropped HD-DVD.

The major problem for consumers? Not just the over million players in the marketplace, but with reduced prices on most players and discs as companies clear out stock, it’s just going to mean more people are tricked into buy a doomed format, so make sure you’re smart and your next purchase is Blu(e), ok?

Congrats to Blu-Ray, it didn’t take too long to win out. Sony must be loving that one of their formats has stuck for once, right?

Titleist has just launched the new PTS Carry and Roll balls, and to be honest, they do what they say on the tin.

The Carry ball enhances your shot by providing maximum distance through carrying the ball further, whereas the Roll helps with a piercing ball flight mixed with increased roll for those that prefer to gain distance in that way.

The new PTS range also features the Staggered Wave Parting Line, as seen on the Pro V1 and NXT line-ups, which increases the dimple surface coverage, contributing to improved aerodynamics and a more consistent ball flight.

Expect these to hit on 1st March for £21 a dozen.

Amongst all of the tech industry’s attempts to make things smaller, the humble headphone has seen very little love in the size changing department. Until now. Klipsch, the American audio company, has just busted out the new ‘worlds smallest’ and ‘worlds lightest’ headphones in one product, the IMAGE.

Made mainly out of aluminium and copper, the ‘phones do not look as bad as most inner-ear types, and should be perfect for your morning commute to that investment bank, where you’ll need to work to justify that £200 pricetag.

Grab them from http://www.amazon.co.uk/, and they are available now.
