We like coffee. Everybody loves coffee right? And with these new pod-system machines coming left, right and centre nowadays we decided to try out the latest system to be released; the Nescafe Dolce Gusto.
Made by kitchen-hardware legends Krups, the machines looks chic in modern style kitchens, although perhaps a little overbearing if left in a traditional styled food area.
The black unit we were using is definitely a brilliant colour for these coffee machines, but as you’ve no doubt seen from the adverts, it does come in other shades.
It is exceptionally easy to use; insert pod, press down, flick switch, and wait. And can be kept in good working order easily using the included rinsing tools.
There is quite a bit of splashing from the unit if you mount the cup holder too far down, and can begin to stain the machine if you don’t wipe it off immediately. The coffee’s themselves are nice, although obviously not as good as you could buy at your local coffee-selling-place. The original set of drinks all taste better than their instant varieties, with my particular favourite being the Latte Macchiato.
If you’re in the market for a coffee machine, this is currently the one to have, and the drinks are all solid coffees, flawed, but most of these systems are at the minute, so a good choice.
